Statement on Canada / Mexico Tariffs
“The Business Council is deeply concerned about the impacts these tariffs will have on New York’s economy, particularly our manufacturing sector. Our state’s employers produce over $20 billion in goods that are purchased between Canada and Mexico and account for nearly a million jobs. As these tariffs will no doubt negatively impact our employers and consumers, we will work with other state chambers and our national partners to monitor them and respond to their impacts.”
