NOTICE OF COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR THE AVENIR AND CAESARS PALACE TIMES SQUARE
Dear Neighbor,
The state law establishing the siting process for up to three commercial casinos in New York State includes the creation of a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) for each casino applicant to review their application and vote on whether the project should advance to the Gaming Facility Location Board for consideration.
Each proposal is required under the Community Advisory Committee process to have two public hearings. The Community Advisory Committees for Caesars Palace Times Square and The Avenir will hold their first public hearings this month.

Additionally, each proposal is also required to hold a virtual public hearing on its Draft Environmental Impact Statements (DEIS). These hearings are separate from the CAC hearings and focus specifically on the environmental review of each project.
