Senator Tkaczyk also has Green Party line after write-in campaign.
Text of September 10 press release.

State Senator Cecilia Tkaczyk has won the Green Party ballot line thanks to the write-in votes of Green Party members in the five counties she represents.

Senator Tkaczyk has been endorsed by many environmental groups, including the Sierra Club and League of Conservation Voters. She also received the highest grade in the Senate from Environmental Advocates of New York.

She has emerged as a leader in the fight to protect New York's land, air and water against the dangers of fracking, and gained nation-wide attention for her measure (S.5123-A) to ban the importing of toxic fracking wastes from other states into New York for treatment, disposal, use as a road de-icer or any other purpose.

Senator Tkaczyk said, "I am very proud of the enthusiastic support I have received from members of the Green Party. My voting record in the Senate reflects their agenda -- on issues ranging from the fight against fracking to women's rights and raising the minimum wage for working families.

"By contrast my opponent supports fracking, opposes the right to choose as well as equal pay for women and has supported measures that encourage corporations to outsource jobs to other countries. His values are not good for New York, and certainly not good for the people of Upstate New York."
